Our Story
Founded in 2008 by Swedish music journalist, broadcaster, DJ, and storyteller DJ “Souly” Soulswede, SoulInterviews was built on a simple belief:

With more than 35 years devoted to soul music and its surrounding culture, Souly has interviewed internationally acclaimed artists, documented musical history, and championed both legendary performers and emerging independent voices.
Rather than chasing headlines, SoulInterviews has always focused on something deeper—the people behind the music, their journeys, inspirations, challenges, and creative passions.
A New Chapter
Like many independent creative projects, SoulInterviews experienced a period of silence.
Life changed. Personal loss, new beginnings, and the realities of rebuilding meant that publishing paused for a time. Yet one thing remained constant:
The love for music.
Today, SoulInterviews returns with renewed purpose and an even broader creative vision—bringing together journalism, broadcasting, podcasts, and visual storytelling under one creative identity.
